Urban Network leader adds new accountability system
(New York, N.Y., May 2, 2006) - American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Media Monitors, the nation's leading broadcast monitoring and verification service for broadcasters, print media, media investment companies and advertising agencies. Under this new agreement effective immediately, Media Monitors will begin monitoring AURN radio station affiliates for compliance of commercial clearances.
"This allows us to have better data regarding our affiliates with accurate and dependable tracking of spot airplay," said E. J "Jay" Williams, Jr., president of AURN. "In addition to the systems we already have in place, we want to provide our clients with the accountability they deserve and every comfort level that their investment in our medium is a wise one to reach the Black consumer market."
Glenn Bryant, AURN senior vice president of operations said, "After an extensive review of all the various companies providing this kind of valuable service we felt Media Monitors offered the most effective way of gathering and checking data to support our affiliate, sales and marketing efforts." Bryant said "Media Monitors, among other things, also proved most effective in identifying more advertiser activity on stations in major markets than any of the other services."
"The proper tracking of network radio spots is critical", adds Philippe Generali, President of Media Monitors, based in New York. "We are proud to welcome The American Urban Radio Networks to our growing roster of media groups providing their affiliates and sponsors with the highest level of spot accountability available today."
